Abstract

This article describes actual problems on religious dialogue, in actual Indonesia. Several problems in interfaith dialogue, such as contexts of as textual-doctrine, human dialogue, community segmentation in Muslim and Christian, on five years era, praxis and theoretic theology dichotomy, religious prejudice on Muslim and Christian, and then minimum women activities on interfaith dialogue. But, these problems can create encounter dialogue and human dialogue intensively. For alternative solution the problems is religious inclusive.

Abstract

The writer explores that religion, besides had ever been accused as the source of humanity crime, and has been being trusted by people to realize the humanity hope better in the future. This hope of course has base because actually religion had never been teaching violence but love each other. Based on the assumption above, the writer states to all adherents of religions to prove that religion is not a source of conflict but on contrary it offers meaningful life for human in modern world. Religion is transcendental meaning offering humanity, liberation, and transcendence agendas for all human.

Abstract

This paper tries to discuss Arkoun's thought regarding the genuine concept of Revelation. His concept begins to elaborate Revelation in the history of al-Qur'an and Muslim Tradition. From historical background of Ahl al-Kitab (People of the Book) has been founded the same task and tool in history of salvation (HP). Beginning from decisive issues of Ahl al-Kitab, Arkoun works out the concept of "The society of the Book". He uses a deconstruction method to find vocabulary, methods and intellectual attitudes relevant to the presentation of Revelation with: a. the requirement of modern historical analysis; b. the philosophical evaluation of the implicit or explicit postulates of teaching and; c. the benefit of modern rationality and scientific thought. From these views, the writer tries to elaborate the significances of Arkoun's thought as a basic need of dialogues and the development of discourses in multi-faiths and multi-religions societies.

Abstract

After September eleven, the face of Islam in the global world was dominated by the fundamentalism. Here, the effect of the accident not only felt by the Osama bin Laden who became the number one public enemy, but also Islam get trickle effect from this accident. In this paper, the writer elaborates the significance of interreligious dialogue based on the dialogue of civilization. In the multicultural era one method or way to minimize the prejudices that exist under the consciousness of people is through dialogue, whether interreligious and interfaith dialogue, or dialogue of civilization. However, the dialogue in this paper should be understood in the state of becoming and going on process. This process is based on particular doctrine to common plat form (kalimah sawa'). This article gives some review from Islamic perspective. Of course, these values support religious and inter-faith dialogue, or what the writer called "blueprint" of dialogue.

Abstract

This research purposes to explain the religiosity of couple both before and after marriage; to describe function of culture in the social integration among the couple which has different religion, before and after marriage; and to state the socialization of value of parent to their children. This research uses ethnographical approach in the Javanese urban, especially in Sinduadi Mlati Sleman Yogyakarta. The research is applied in some steps; exploring data, recognizing physical sphere, the research conducting, and writing report. The research revealed some point as follow: (1) Most couple have highly religious and the other are sufficient. (2) Religion, as cultural system, is very useful to integrate social factor of the couple in the religious intermarriage case that caused by values of sincreticsm of 'abangan 'subculture on the one hand, and the other hand also caused by values of secularization of 'santri' subculture, so that the tolerance attitude toward others religion is increased. (3) The role of religious culture is not dominant in socializing value and applying inheritance law.

Abstract

The writer tries to analyze the problem of religious plurality through HG Gadamer's hermeneutical analysis. In the article, the writer starts his analysis from the phenomenon of interreligious relationship happens in the world. In the writer's opinion -based on HG Gadamer's analysis-, that human look lost in the phenomenon of hard interreligious relation, on contrary it suggests that the interdependent among religious people. The two categories above don't mean the relation of win or loss, or domination relation, but it is better to say "belonging relation ". Moreover the writer specifies that communicative attitude for knowing the others which together with knowing himself could solve all problems of interreligious relationship with some consensus obtained without any pressure. Knowing the others doesn't mean following other i attitude, but influencing or influenced. Thus, the critical and innovative attitude are needed. Life is just a game.

Abstract

Globalisasi merupakan satu fenomena yang sangat sering di diskusikan oleh para sarjana. Hal ini karena ia memiliki dampak yang sangat besar bagi kehidupan manusia, khususnya terhadap agama dan spiritualitas. Paper ini adalah salah satu di antaranya, yang berupaya mengkaji dampak globalisasi terhadap manusia, khususnya pada umat Islam dan Kristen yang ada di Malaysia dan Swedia. Untuk konteks Swedia, penulis mendasarkannya pada tulisan Prof. Lande dari Swedia tentang isu-isu agama. Kemudian penulis memaparkan pandangan Malaysia terhadap komunitas multireligius. Sebagai kesimpulan dari tulisannya, penulis menyatakan bahwa sebuah komunitas multireligius dalam globalisasi yang humanis adalah sesuatu yang niscaya jika semua bangsa dapat jujur untuk mengakui dan mendukung kebebasan beragama.

Abstract

This paper tries to elaborate how the role of youth of NU in Indonesia Islamic thought. The main focus of this paper is the intellectual tradition young generation of NU The 2000s constitute the years where the youth of NU stay in everywhere and influenced the life of Indonesia intellectuality. The writer argues that there are some factors in the genealogy of their thought: First, Islamic boarding school as the central of intellectual tradition of NU; Second, the NGO's working; Three, the scientific networking from Egypt Four, The State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) as the place that did not make their intellectual satisfactory. They look for the other activity; Five, the influence of contemporary Islamic thought whose tends radically and left; Six, the relation with the Indonesians; Seven, the figure of Gus Dur as the protector for them in their liberal idea.

Abstract

In this article, the writer tries to explain the historicity of political system formulation and government in Singapore. Besides, the writer also explores the religion role in establishing state institution. Moreover, the writer specifies that social structure of Singapore society-the multiracial country with the majority of Chinese immigrant have been working out nationalism awareness. The political social interaction based on ethnic and religious sentiment had crystallized and ended by separation of Singapore from Malaysia federation, as a free country based on industry and trade. In many sectors, the sake of Singaporean Moslems is accommodated. The accommodated Moslems' aspiration is along with the improvement of Moslems awareness of the important of formal institution to accommodate their aspiration. However, Islam is still paced as a distrustful movement.

Abstract

The change of value currency had been the serious attention by the classical fiqh experts. Therefore, there are many different opinions about that, not only between mazhab to another, but also in the circle of one mazhab. The best interesting, the ulama not only connectedthe change ofvalue currency with transaction ofsale andpurchase, lease, loan, salary and other bussiness transactions, but also with zakah, family responsible, and diyat in the criminal cases also the minimal limit (counting) of the thief good value made the man cut his hand. The difference happened in this context, actually showed how the fiqh experts searched the transaction consequences in crisis condition in order one to another not make lose each other and finally may create the justice that one of the spirit of Islamic economy.
